AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman inaugurated 33KV Power Sub-Station at Simna.
After inaugurating the 33KV Power Sub-Station at Simna, the Deputy CM requested the consumers to pay off electricity bills regularly so that Power Dept can go ahead with development and doesn't reel under losses.
"Modernization is not possible without money.........So I request the people for cooperation", said Debbarman.
"We often hear that power disruption has disrupted normal flows of lives and works. Sub-station inauguration is not a new step taken by our Govt but everyday we are inaugurating sub-stations but what I want to appeal to the people that they must pay the bills regularly, so that we go ahead....", said Debbarman.
"The sub-stations are being constructed with loans taken from ADB. But regular payments from consumers are important for new infrastructure. So, if you pay regularly, then only the work can go on and power disruption would not happen", said Debbarman to the masses.
