AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): The word "outsider" in general is being used to categorize aliens or foreigners but SP West Manik Das has called the I-PAC team members "Outsiders" who have been kept under House Arrest from Sunday night.

Netizens have trolled the SP asking him how the people of Tripura would feel when they will be called "outsiders" in other states.

The Northeast population generally faces issues sometimes in other states. Delhi's incident is not yet a forgotten incident but amid all these ongoing problems, being an SP was it necessary to use such A racial word  ?  The irresponsible statement has triggered controversy. 

SP West Manik Das claimed the I-PAC team members were not arrested but they were just kept under eyes till the Covid test report comes.

Such a weird statement from Manik Das came when the Govt has kept flights open from all states and everyday people are coming with RT–PCR test reports with them.

Moreover, everyday so many people arrive in Tripura who are impossible to keep under track. Also so many Central leaders have come in Tripura and gone but only when Prashant Kishor's team has come for the Trinamool party, then police were deployed to make them "house arrest".
