AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Unprecedented 'House Arrest' of Indian political strategist and tactician Prashant Kishor's I-PAC employees in Agartala's Hotel Woodland Park has been condemned by All India Trinamool Congress. MP Abhishek Banerjee reacting over the shocking house arrest of the I-PAC employees has tweeted, "The fear in BJP-Tripura before even AITC officials stepped into the land, is more than evident! They are so rattled by our victory in #Bengal that they've now kept 23 IPAC employees under house arrest. Democracy in this nation dies a thousand deaths under BJP's misrule!" The statement came after the I-PAC employees were kept under house arrest for more than a day who came to Tripura to take ground reports of the political temperament in the state for the Trinamool Congress.

After the controversial news rocked the national media headlines, SP West Manik Das called a press meet in the late evening claiming that nobody was arrested but without Covid test report no one can go out. The SP also faced criticism by calling I-PAC members as "outsiders". 

Also the police statement has failed to sound neutral as almost everyday BJP central leaders, members are coming in the state, paying visits in various parts of the state but they were never kept under "house arrest". People are coming with RT-PCR tests in hand as the Govt has kept flights allowed from all states in India. 

All India Trinamool Congress has condemned the role of Tripura BJP Govt against the opposition.
