DUKLI, July 26 (TIWN): A man has been injured in BJP Panchayat member's attack.
The incident happened at Dukli RD Block, Ward No-3, Pandavpur Village.
The issue erupted centering a petty issue of tree cutting.
Bimal Adhikari, a local and Panchayat member Bimal Das both had developed an argument centering a tree cutting issue but the Panchayat member suddenly attacked on Bimal Adhikari physically leaving him critically injured.
Bimal Adhikar was taken to Hapania hospital in critical condition. Although after lodging an FIR police visited the spot but have not arrested Bimal Das yet.
Questions are being raised like - whether due to political colour, Bimanl Das is not being arrested ? Locals have demanded justice for Bimal Adhikari in this case.
