AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Double role of Tripura Police, on one side ruling party leaders are violating law but police administration remained as silent spectator, no action Police taken against ruling party law violators and on the other side the police administration are taking action while the opposition party leaders organise protest movement with limited people. On Monday while ATUWC members went to place deputation to DM on six point’s demands for the benefit of labourers with few delegation members, Police dragged them to bus and detained from Office lane area.
However, a delegation member of ATUWC said before media that they had permission to place deputation to DM.
The double role of Police in Tripura is not new, several times state people witnessed such an inappropriate role. Recently state’s people witnessed a BJP Party’s lower-post leader in Santir Bazar had married and gathered by inviting thousands of people amid curfew, no social distance were maintained. After violating curfew guidelines no arrests were reported so far but the administration is taking action against common people forcefully conducting Covid tests for not wearing masks or imposing fines. In the same way the Police arrested Opposition party leaders to 10,323 teachers from their agitation spot while they protested for their rights. Such double role of Police administration displays law and order completely collapsed in Tripura.
