Assam Rifles distributes essential commodities in Orphanage

AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): The Agartala Battalion under the aegis of Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential commodities and sanitisation kits to the children of Khilpara Orphanage, Udaipur, Gomati District in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Gomati on 16 July 2021.
Essential commodities and sanitisation kits were distributed to the orphanage with an aim to foster the bond of humanity between the local populace & the Security Forces and also to promote and strengthen the peace and harmony in the region.
Representatives of Indian Red Cross Society headed by Chairman Mr. Shukanta Das , IRCS also calloberated with Assam Rifles and distributed sanitization kits at the orphanage .
Adequate COVID-19 protection measures were followed during the event. A total of 20 children and staff attended the event alongwith representative of Indian Red Cross Society, Gomati.
