AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): NHM today held a press meet and placed details on Vaccination target and coverage so far.

Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal addressing in a press meet said, "Till now total vaccination has been completed over 47 lakhs. In that, 26.5 lakhs have been the first dose and 6.4 lakhs are the second dose. So, the total first dose is 78.4% for people more than 18 years. Complete vaccination 44.67% of the total eligible population. Moreover, we have administered over 53 thousands to the health workers for the first dose and the second dose 39 thousand. 74.21% second dose's vaccination was completed. Also front line workers were given 57% vaccination fully".

"40.19 lakhs population has been estimated as per 2021, March, data received from Population Projection Spot India and States, Census of India. The data was released by the Central Govt agency. 13.95 lakhs population under 0 to 18 years. The total population eligible is 26.24 lakhs.Out of the total population 62.1% belong to the 18 to 44 years of age. The 13.9% belong to above 44.  They are the target of the vaccination", said Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal.

"The vaccination target for more than  45 years for the first dose is 100.28% and for the second dose 53.92%", he said.

"For 18 years plus to 44 years, the first dose percentage has covered 55.88% and for the second dose more than 1%", said Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal.
