AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): With National Population data, Tripura National Health Mission (NHM) Director has declared that 'Tripura's Population is 40.19 lakhs'.
NHM announced this while clarifying Vaccination updates as per the target population.
"40.19 lakhs population has been estimated as per 2021, March data received from Population Projection Spot India and States, Census of India. The data was released by Central Govt agency. 13.95 lakhs population under 0 to 18 years. The total population eligible is 26.24 lakhs.Out of the total population 62.1% belong to the 18 to 44 years of age. The 13.9% belong to above 44. They are the target of the vaccination", said Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, NHM Director, Tripura.
"The vaccination target for more than 45 years for first dose 100.28% and for second dose 53.92%", he said.
"For 18 years plus to 44 years, the first dose percentage has covered 55.88% and for second dose more than 1%", said Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal.
