AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Two restaurants burnt into ashes in a devastating fire.The incident took place near Udaipur Matarbari Bazar at around 12 on Monday night.

Reportedly, at around 12 o'clock on Monday night, the Udaipur Matabari area locals noticed devastating fire was coming out from two restaurants adjacent to the Matarbari temple. Immediately the locals informed the fire department, getting informed fire service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control in short time. Two restaurants were gutted in the ablaze.

However, locals said that it would have been more horrific if the fire service personnel had not been on the scene in time. Initially it is suspected the massive fire has been caused from short circuit, but locals suspect the fire sets due to sabotage.

Meanwhile, two gas cylinders in two restaurants exploded which created panic in the entire Matabari area.
