E-Rickshaw theft : Statewide theft cases in rise, 317 registered theft cases so far in 2020

AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN):Tuktuk (E-Rickshaw) theft incident from Kailasahar bazar areas. Owner found his tuktuk was missing from where he parked. The inactive role of police noticed allegedly.
According to the details of the incident, on Dec 28 around 8PM, Liton Kaiwart Das,Tuktuk driver parked his Tuk-tuk at Kailasahar baazar area and went to baazar but after returning he found his Tuk-tuk was missing from parking place.This morning he reported to Kailashahar PS about the missing vehicles. Later, Liton got information that his vehicles found hidden in a secret location at Pakhirbadha are. Getting information Tuktuk owner along with the workers of the Indian Trade Union rushed to the spot and reported to the Kailashahar PS.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Kailasahar police rushed to the spot and recovered Tuktuk in improper condition.It has known thieves stole Tuktuk's four batteries which market price estimated Rs 35,000.
Resentment were seen among locals over the role of kailasahar police.
Statewide massive thefts and robberies have been spiked up although numbers of thefts and robberies are shown not properly officially. Still, as per Tripura police's data total 317 theft cases occurred in 2020.
