AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): In a rare scenario, today school students had gheraoed Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath's house in protest of their various demands including 'Bochor Bachao' issue where huge number of students had failed. Today basically Bodhjung Boy's Higher Secondary School's issues were to be placed before the Minister. The school reportedly undergoing severe teachers crisis and there no attempt of the Govt to fill up the vacancies of teaching posts, resulting schools even in the capital town Agartala are suffering heavily due to teachers shortage. But the Minister's house was seen locked from outside and then agitators including NSUI activists who were leading the agitating students were detained under section 151 IPC. NSUI leader Samrat Roy has asked, why the Education Minister is so afraid on students protests ?

He also criticized the Dept's constant changing decisions on school reopening which is confusing the students.
