AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): When the State Government failed to give the assurance of two times meal a day and a job to earn livelihood, youths of the state are forced to commit suicide out of helplessness and poverty. Such pathetic incident occurred in Rupachara Panchayat area under Teliamura PS.

Reportedly, a youth of 17 killed himself by hanging from a tree of the Rupachara area on Wednesday evening. After the local people noticed his body the immediately called police. Police rushed to place and recovered his body.

On being asked his family said the family is going through extreme poverty. Being depressed out of the helplessness of poverty the youth committed suicide.

Police after recovering his body, sent it to Teliamura hospital morgue for autopsy report to kick off the further investigation procedure. Suicides in Tripura are increasing on an alarming note amid pandemic, however the State government is yet to announce any permanent solution on the status of unemployment rate and poverty yet.
