AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): The local factories in Agartala in various other parts of the state are now busy in manufacturing of candles ahead of Diwali.

As Diwali is known as the festival of light, so candle lighting is the culture in state Tripura like many other countries of the state. Diwali is known as the ending of Bengalis annual festival.

However, talking to a the factory owner, he said that this year due to lockdown, COVID-19, the workers could work properly and thus manufacturing was halted. In this situation the manufacturing is less than the demand.

He also mentioned that few shopkeepers are taking extra charges from buyers whereas from the factory they have purchased at same rate like before.
