AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): TUEP, MGNREGA mandays crisis has left the poor people in heavy distress across Tripura but the Govt although claims MGNREGA mandays percentage was increased but the ground reality depicts a totally different picture. After headlines on poor people's workless situations had hit Tripura Govt, no major step yet has been taken to reduce the financial stress of the daily workers in state. An acute crisis of mandays have escalated the pandemic blow further over the economy in the festival season. Reportedly, there are heavy crisis of MGNREGA, TUEP works in state and except few groups, the mandays are not distributed in neutral process which deprives a major section of people. Such pandemic situations have left the poor section under huge financial troubles. Talking to a worker at Battala market, he said, "We are coming everyday here but hardly getting works. People are not hiring us for their works like before. From Govt side also no help was given much except double rice, which is not enough for survival".

"Our Durga puja has passed very badly. When we don't have minimum earnings for survival, on that condition how would we buy new clothes for our children and what celebration we would do ?", said a daily worker.
