AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend. Today's petrol price in Agartala ₹ 82.16 (12th September 2020). The petrol and diesel prices are revised daily, but the rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days. Diesel price today in Agartala 76.13 / Litre and the fuel prices are different in various Districts but up or low, the average prices remained same. Unbeatable fuel price rises are increasing the everyday commodity prices affecting states like Tripura. When commodity prices are lifting higher, potato prices also has taken a jump at Rs. 30 to Rs. 40. In a major concerns, the lockdown imposed in several cities, coupled with unfavourable weather and rising fuel prices, has affected vegetable supply, leading to a steep rise in prices. Traders in wholesale mandis have told media that prices of most vegetables are likely to remain above Rs 50/kg for the next few days. In other states also, the fuel prices and the weather both affecting the prices.
