AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): B.Ed students, Batch 2018 whose stipends have not been cleared by Tribal Welfare Dept have gone in protest for 5th day but as no solution came out, the students warned to go in hunger strike and also to gherao the official residence of Tribal Welfare Minister. Talking to media the students alleged that many times they met the Dept authority but every time they have been told that the fund in the Tribal Welfare Dept is ended and that’s why students themselves have to bear their own expenditure, which is not possible by maximum students and on the other side, students are pressurized by the Colleges to clear the pending fees. The students went to study B.Ed in scholarship under CM’s scheme and while announcing the project there were much propaganda by the Govt but now after one year the Govt has stopped the scholarship.B.Ed students whose scholarship has been stopped by Govt of Tripura came in protest before the Tribal Welfare Dept displaying banners requesting govt not to do business by using the students.

These students were sent to hold their B.Ed Degrees in other states mostly in West Bengal but although it was promised to them that two years B.Ed expenditure will be carried by the Govt but after one year, it has been stopped. The students are on verges of being drop-out, held protests various times but no solution till now and Tripura Govt silence politics are hampering students futures. Today's most of the agitators were ST students who are stuck ahead of the final semesters.
The agitating youths said that Govt is playing with our futures.
