AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): With regularization demands, contractual employees of GB hospital who had stopped Chief Minister Biplab Deb when he was visiting GB Hospital, today staged protests as they could not meet CM allegedly due to Doctors misbehaviour on that time. Through a protest, the contractual employees raised question, what will happen, if they stop dead-body carrying works ? These staffs on yesterday reportedly were waiting for hours for CM but the upper grade officials stopped them and at last, they were bound to stop CM seeking regularization. The women were seen crying, begging before CM with regularization demand, but soon the Doctors stopped them as no social distancing was being maintained there. But one of the senior Doctors in presence of CM, used a very inappropriate words to a woman contractual staff which has been criticized.The contractual employees said, “We have only one demand that is regularization. Many of our staffs are going in retirement but we have no minimum benefit like other employees".
"We want Govt to regularize us. No other demand right now we have”, said a contractual employees", said an employee.
Regularization is one of the key promises of Tripura BJP in its Vision Document 2018 but after 28 month’s of Govt although thousands of contractual employees had lost jobs, but no regularization was held.
