TELIAMURA, Aug 16 (TIWN): Amid Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s tall claims on HIRA-PLUS existing in state, in reality the State Govt is far from fulfilling public’s basic needs and demands and water-supply is one of those needs. Water crisis problem which has been a major problem for the state although was claimed by the State Govt that under Atal Jal Yojna, water crisis problems are being solved, today locals have stirred demanding diminishing of the water crisis problem at Baramura. In demand of pure drinking water, Baramura hill lined Khamting Bari area’s locals have blocked road from 12 O’Clock and continued for a long time. The road from Khamting Bari to ONGC point was blocked complaining that the area does not have drinking water facility. Although little water is being given to the road side lined people but the whole area is far from coverage.
As a result, after drinking dirty water from a small water body there and muddy small wells, the children and elders health are being fallen. Locals demanded immediate solution to their problems.
