From morning, there is no video, audio, photo from Abhijit Raha but his boldness, courage to be alive in coming days. TIWN house is still shocked, devastated over his unexpected demise.
Abhijit Raha was one among those journalists who covered the uncovered incidents. His last coverage was GB hospital COVID-19 Ward’s 3 days old baby’s death due to negligence. His last message to the TIWN office team was requesting, “Please cut my voice”. He used to request to cut his voice in some categorical news items to avoid police or Govt led threats. This information has shocked the media world of Tripura, as he was too young to die, an honest, hardworking personality. TIWN Editor has condoled his death, said, “I am deeply heartbroken. Our TIWN Journalist Abhijit Raha is no more, he passed away after a heart attack. He also worked in Channel Din Raat. Yesterday’s 3 day old baby’s death at GB Hospital news, videos were his exclusive coverage. I spoke just 3 days back...yesterday after sending 3 days old baby’s death (due to Covid test at GB Hospital), he requested our office to cut his voice from videos so that Govt or Police won’t harrass him. That was his last voice memo to TIWN. I am in tears. God bless you, Rest In Peace, our condolences, one day we all will join you in heaven”.
