AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): With a radiologist trainee’s appointment in COVID-19 centre in Agartala AGMC centre, NSUI has protested. A deputation was placed to the Director of Health Dept.

Addressing media, NSUI President Rakesh Das said, “Amid COVID-19, the Doctors, Staffs, Paramedical staffs are working to fight the deadly disease but certain peculiar outcomes are truly surprising”.

“But, in various CSC, PHCs patients are not getting Doctors in place. In this situation a radiographer trainee has been appointed in COVID-19 treatment centre. If crisis of medical staffs are existing, why doesn’t the Govt recruiting ? How can a training undergoing student in radiology dept can be appointed for COVID duty in AGMC?”, asked the NSUI President.

“At the same time instead of Medicine Specialist, any dept’s Doctors are being appointed ? Tripura’s Health Dept is in pathetic condition. The person holding Health Ministry should vacate the Ministry soon”, said Rakesh Das.
