TELIAMURA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Electronic Traffic Signals at Teliamura subdivision have been disabled since before the Lockdown. Leading people's life in a danger, the department is yet to repair the light after almost 6 months.
Even after publishing news about this issue and lots of complaints been lodged by local people, no proper action is taken so far.
Traffic DSP Sona Charan Jamatia said that the person who is taking charge of repairing the signals is not present in the state now due to the lockdown. He also admitted that people are suffering for this crippling condition of traffic signals. Public transportation on that particular road has become dangerous.
Talking with a tomtom driver he said, "For the sake of survival we have to continue our profession but driving on such road where no traffic signals is provided spikes the risk of accidents. We are facing problems for this, we need to be scared everytime while driving on this road."
The problem takes an ungly face special in market days when the gathering is high. This creates huge traffic jam also, as no proper authority is provided to control the mass. The people of Teliamura are now seeking solution for this problem from this Higher authority.
