AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): “CPI-M does not look at mirrors & that’s why keeps on blaming BJP over Law and Order issuesâ€, said Law Minister Ratanlal Nath in a press meet. Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday has hit the CPI-M Party after CPI-M expressed concerned over the Law and Order situation. Addressing media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “We all live in glass houses and if we spit on others, it will fall on us. But CPI-M’s claim of deteriorating law and order is totally baseless, aimed to confuse the people. 5 murders took place in this month, robbery 0, theft 17, rioting 1, male related missing / kidnapping 2, women related 8, other crime against women 66".
“Total crime against women 74, motor accident 31, other IPC cases 48. But if we see from January these cases are very less. Even in 2018 also the numbers were less. In comparison CPI-M era’s crime rates were higher. In murder, there are huge difference between 2017 and 2019”, said Ratanlal Nath.
“In 2017 murders were 47, in 2018 murders were 52 numbers, In 2019 total 51 murders and in 2020 total 44 murders occurred”, he added.
