CHURAIBARI, June 25 (TIWN): In a major breakthrough, Police have arrested 2 suspected drug smugglers on Thursday at Kadamtala although the mastermind named Saddam Hossian managed to escape. The drive was initiated by District CID Division and Kadamtala Police jointly and received huge success. Based on secret sources, today at around 12 PM CID and Kadamtala OC-Krishnadhan Sarkar had ambushed an area at Premtala but most likely getting informed, these smugglers did not come out of home and were seated at home. Then huge numbers of police force raided the home of Saddam Hossain but understanding the approaching danger from Police, Saddam Hossain had escaped from the spot. After that his father Akadyash Ali (55) and Durganagar’s No-1 ward resident Amit Das who were present in the house were arrested. Around 9000 yaba tablets were seized whose markets values to be at least Rs. 20 lakhs.

An expensive bike was also seized by police. Police now are interrogating these two arrested persons, booked them under NDPS Act.
