Agartala, Nov 21 (TIWN): National Cadet Corps (NCC), Tripura unit today celebrated NCC Day across the state with enthusiasm and gaiety. To mark the occasion, a huge rally was organized by the different NCC units in Agartala. The rally was started from infront of the BBMC College and traversed through different city roads.

Over 300 cadets from many NCC units including 13 Tripura Bn (MBB College), 71 Tripura Girls Coy, 15 Bn have participated during the rally. Besides, as part of NCC Day celebration, the cadets have carried out a few cleanliness drives too.

National Cadet Corps is a tri-services Organisation, comprising Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. 

NCC (National Cadet Corps) is a national organization which has helped in inculcation in the cadets a spirits of courage, confidence, self-reliance, selfless service, a feeling of patriotism, faith in oneself, power of thought and adjustment which are essential to make the youth disciplined and dutiful.

The NCC programme provides ample opportunities to the cadets by way of conducting firing camps, drill practices, personality development and voluntary service programmes.
