AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Along with nationwide observance, Lockdown Day-31 was observed in Tripura amid high securities which is extended up to May 3rd with COVID19 cases surged up in the country.

 Illegally opened shops were shuttered down by Police and those who came out of homes without reasons were sent back to home.

The number of coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 23,000 mark. 718 patients have died so far due to the coronavirus in India, said National media reports.

Tripura has turned COVID free state as both positive patients were tested negative. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced the state as COVID free on Thursday evening.
