AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Huge bundles of Eskuf cough syrups have been seized by Police in Agartala today with a vehicle was seized successfully.

East Agartala Police along with College Tilla Outpost police have seized the vehicle with the illegal stocks in a joint drive by the two police stations.

The vehicle bearing number – TR01N1 566 was seized but the accused person escaped on spot. Police are searching for the accused persons behind this smuggling activity.

Surajit Bhattacharjee (East Agartala PS OC) Arindam Roy (College Tilla Outpost) in a joint drive seized the Eskuf cough syrup from near Aralia Bridge.

Around 6,500 Eskuf cough syrup were seized costing around 7 lakhs, said a police official.
