AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): First COVID-19 positive case has been tested in Tripura, the Chief Minister has informed in an alert.
In a tweet CM said, "First #COVID19 positive case detected at Tripura. The patient is from Udaipur. Don't Panic, we are taking proper care of the patient..Stay Home Stay Safe. Update at: 8PM / April 6"
The person is now admitted in State Government hospital.
Till evening no positive case was reported in Tripura although 8 persons from Tripura have been tested COVID-19 positive but all of them are now outside Tripura. The 8 persons are in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan.

A high Govt official said, out of 8 persons 3 are from Sonamura, 1 person from Melaghar and 2 persons from Ramnagar and 2 persons from Belonia totaling 8 persons.
Inside Tripura no COVID-19 positive case was tested yet.
