AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Even though all youths will get SMART phones if BJP voted to power was promised by the BJP before election but today after cabinet meeting, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath announced that 14,608 youths to be given SMART Phones by 2020-21.

Last year, reportedly BJP Govt gave around 12000 SMART Phones to youths.

After cabinet decisions, Ratanlal Nath said that to provide 14608 numbers of SMART Phones, 7 crores 30 lakhs 40 thousands to be costed.

The SMART Phones will be given under “Mukhyamontri Juva Jogajog Jojona”.

The whole process including application and scrutiny will be done by online. However, the youths have to show purchased pay slip of the shop.

22 degree colleges’ final year students, Technical students of like TIT, NIT will get those phones but all should belong to Govt colleges.
