KAILASHAHAR (Tripura), July 27 (TIWN): During Panchayat Election voting, Kailashahar No-2 ward's BJP candidate Dilip Das was attacked, injured in a violent incident at Kailsahahar subdivision of Unakoti District.

The incident took place at Samarur Par village panchayat area.

Das was coming in bike with another BJP worker Farukuddin when the attack took place. Farukuddin was too injured in the incident.

Das had to be hospitalized as serious injuries reported in his head.

Case lodged in Kailashahar Police Station against Congress candidate’s husband Takdir Ali and another Congress worker Nazrul Islam.

Allegation also raised against Congress leader Narendra Bhattacharjee.

Report says, till 9.30 am the election went peaceful at the Gournagar and Chandipur blocks of Kailashahar subdivision, but after that separate incidents created tension in the subdivision.

On the other side, there are reports on attack on Congress leaders. Four Congress activists are hospitalized after attacked allegedly by BJP in Chandipur block.
