AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): In a big achievement for State of Tripura that Minister of Power R.K.Sing has principally agreed Tripura Govt’s proposal of 400 KV substation at Surajmaninagar along with link lines.

It was made possible only due to personal follow up & strong determination of Chief Minister Biplab Deb Dy CM Jishnu Dev Barman. Yesterday a meeting was conducted between Power Minister in presence of Secretary Power GoI, Chairman,Central Electricity Authority and CMD TSECL.

Proposal for Technical feasibility clearance will be sent by MoP  to MoDONER.

TSECL also discussed about slow progress of PGCIL world bank project along with fresh proposals of transit camps with Chairman Central Electricity Authority.

He has agreed to make some changes in places of transit camps, also other issues which were rejected in meeting of Guwahati (Attended by Director Technical) will also be considered as per request of state Govt/ TSECL with proper justification from Tripura side.

Moreover, National Smart Grid Mission is also considering Tripura’sproposal of Smart Meters  project for Agartala City, said TSECL authority.
