AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Judicial system under political threats, nothing is more unfortunate for a democratic country. In a shocking episode in the High Court of Tripura, upright and popular advocate Additional PP Amitabha Ray Barman has resigned from High Court under massive political attacks.

In his facebook page, after the resignation, RayBarman said that his resignation from the post of Addl public prosecutor High Court of Tripura was “compelling circumstances”.

He said from now onwords he is going involve himself in private practices.

He also said, he was forced to resign due to continuous illegal request, persuasion and indirect threat from influential political personals.

Sources informed that Addl PP Amitabha RayBarman denied to file politically motivated false cases, NDPS cases under the threats of MLA Ram Prasad Pal, Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Attorney General Arun Bhowmik.
