AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the people of Tripura on the start of the auspicious Kharchi Pooja, an ancient traditional festival in Tripura.

“Greetings to everyone, especially the people of Tripura on the start of the auspicious Kharchi Pooja. May Chaturdash Devata bless everyone with happiness, good health and prosperity”, the Prime Minister said.

PM’s greeting has made state proud.

CM Biplab Deb has inaugurated the fair in the presence of two more BJP MLAs Sushanta Chowdhury and Ratan Chakraborty. Also Minister NC Debbarma was present on that occasion.

While addressing in the Kharchi festival CM said, this fair is as important as earlier and NC Debbarma put importance on the harmony between various cultures, communities of the state.
