AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): When Tripura is dreaming for a medical hub and high quality medical service, the reality is harsh and as pathetic as it can be, specially in deep rural areas.
In Gachirampara of Kanchanpur where Reang community’s people also known as Bru are sheltered highest, are suffering from malaria disease.
But in the local PHC, it has been alleged that no electricity service is there which has forced the patients to sleep on the floor. But it has increased chances of becoming more sick, but the temperature is so high, that patients are unable to bear the heat.
At least 2000 people reside in that area but in the whole PHC only one doctor is appointed along with 4 nurses and 2 GDA.
But the appointed doctor is bound to stay busy due to his field visits and also he has to visit often in the camps of the Reangs.
Total 10 patients are there in the hospital and two are malaria patients. 2 are very serious due to malaria 1) Aijak Rai Reang, 2) Sudhanbati Reang.
