AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): To reduce danger of malaria outbreak, Govt of Tripura has taken various initiatives.
According to the Dhalai DM report these safety measures have been taken. Identification of Jhumias and their Jhum cultivation,
Sending information to the SDMOs, CMOs about the Jhumias available places,
Govt has also taken initiative to take regular sample of blood of the Jhumias that includes before going from Jhum cultivation, when they come to market places for and even going to Jhum cultivation sites,
Also CMO, Dhalai and District Malaria officer have been asked to make a data-base of all the Jhumias under District for further course of action.
Special observation has been taken around the rubber cultivation zones.
For awareness purpose, the District malaria officer has been asked to prepare a video on malaria and related issues which may be shown in the market areas. This task has been given on most urgent basis.
