AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Former BJP IT cell head Anupam Paul’s friend was allegedly harassed by police led by DIG Arindam Nath on yesterday night, later released after around two hours of questioning and harassment.

It happened after Anupam Paul shared few news items which claimed Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s wife filed divorce case against him.

This is the second time that police harassed her in search of Anupam.

What surprising is, without any court paper, huge numbers of police rushed to Aupam Paul’s friend’s home in latenight and against her will held her and brought her at West Agartala Police station under a lady constable.

On the other side, Anupam Paul’s mother and his brother are going missing since yesterday night.

The action came after Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s wife told media on yesterday, “We have decided that we will punish the persons who have spread rumour”.
