AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): Opposition parties have slammed the Home Ministry led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb saying where does the law and order standing that it suddenly became uncontrolled ? Congress held a latenight press conference after the announcement, whereas for West Tripura constituency Congress will go to Supreme Court in demand of repolling.Addressing press meet, CEO Sriram Taranikanti said that what happened on 11th April, we don’t to repeat it again. As a result for preparation and more security forces arrangements this election has been deferred.From West Tripura election, massive rigging has been launched by ruling BJP which has been continuing for East Tripura also. BJP also issues notices infront of houses saying if anyone comes to cast vote their condition will be like a “Beheaded Chickenâ€. With that notice cut chickens’ heads were also pinned on the main gates of the voters. “The poll for 2 Tripura East ( ST) pc on 18th April has been deferred to 23rd April, 2019â€, confirmed the Election Commission.
Across the state, BJP goons are rushing house to house threatening voters not to come out on election day.
However, unlike West Tripura, East Tripura voters were unready to accept BJP’s hooliganism led tension. In this situation, the poll has been deferred, whereas Election Commission yet to announce details of the violence. Public and opposition parties are happy with the election deferring decision of the commission.
Also there are heavy chances of re-polling at the West Tripura’s maximum booths which were rigged by BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik.
