AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Prime Minister Modi ahead of Lok Sabha Election has arrived here in Tripura to campaign for two MP seats.
But while landing at Agartala Airport, PM Modi’s face was hard before BJP top leaders with unknown reason.
Last time, PM Modi was welcomed with black balloon and flags across Agartala when Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) was the sensitive issue.
Recently BJP National President Amit Shah had cancelled his election rally in Tripura and denied to attend a rally for West Tripura candidate Pratima Bhowmik.
Tripura Election to be held on April 11 and April 18 for West and East Tripura constituencies consequently.
From West Tripura BJP has nominated a controversial figure with tainted background Pratima Bhowmik, whereas from East Tripura Rebati Tripura is the candidate, a totally new face in state politics.
