AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): Due to negligence of the authority of Agriculture Dept led by Director D P Sarkar, the fates of Agriculture undergoing and passed out students are in danger and full of uncertainty.

Due to no recognition from ICAR after 12 years of College establishment, finally students are unable to proceed with their M.Sc degree. Under a new rule, to get chance in M.Sc one must be studied from an ICAR recognition College. Even though Tripura Govt established all needful infrastructure but due to dept’s negligence the College yet to be upgraded, whereas before few years ICAR told Tripura Govt to appoint a permanent principal in the college and the affiliation will be given, but due to negligence of the dept, no development came in that issue too. Today with “We want Justice” slogan the students sat in protest, called strike in the College. College of Agriculture, Tripura, established in 2007, is a professional degree college for agriculture in Agartala.
