AGARTALA, Feb 22 (TIWN): Ahead of Lok Sabha Election, Tripura's former SFI Secretary Nabarun Deb of has been appointed as DYFI Secretary for the State, releasing Amal Chakraborty form the post.
Deb passed out from Tripura University, with degree of Masters in Political Science.
In a press conference former DYFI Secretary Amal Chakraborty has announced Nabarun Deb as the new Secretary. The new President of DYFI is Palash Bhowmik.
Addressing media, Amal Chakraborty said, DYFI's role will be always to fight for youths' rights.
Criticizing the ruling BJP Govt, Nabarun Deb said, "In CPI-M Govt's time every week, recruitment related advertisements were released but under the present BJP Govt, job recruitment are in total pause. DYFI will fight for the youths' right and their livelihood".
Democratic Youth Federation of India is a Democratic Youth Organisation in India. It was founded in its inaugural conference held from 1–3 November 1980 at Shaheed Kartar Singh Saraba village in Ludhiana, Punjab. As of 2012, DYFI had a membership of 2.2 million which rose from 1.4 million in 2011.
