AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma has again asserted that nobody’s social pension has been stopped and even in January month, State Govt of Tripura has expended Rs. 27 crores to benefit 4 lakhs beneficiaries of social pensions.
Addressing media, Minister Santana Chakma at the Secretariat said, “Many people claim that social pensioners’ verifications are not necessary, but the scrutiny is needed. We will also increase the social pensions step-wise”.
She also claimed that nobody’s name has been cut from the beneficiary list but media created this confusion among people.
