AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): When Chief Minister Biplab Deb after bundles of promises, returns everytime from Delhi in empty hands after spending days at Delhi palace at the cost of public taxes, Tripura CPI-M MP Jitendra Cahudhury amid busy scheduled at the Parliament managed time to hold meetings at the Aviation Ministry’s office.
With a hope Tripura Airway passengers, MP Jitendra Chaudhury via sets of meeting conducted at Delhi has successfully met the SpiceJet authority and proposed him to resume the service at Agartala Airport.
In the first meeting, MP Jitendra Chaudhury held a meeting with CMD of SpiceJet Ajay Singh at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Head Office of Ministry of Civil Aviation in the presence of Union Minister Suresh Prabhu and Jayant Sinha.
“In order to ease the problem of Delhi bound passengers from Agartala in the evening period, Air India has agreed with the proposal to connect two Air India flights i.e. AI-746 and AI-023 which operates between Agartala-Kolkata, Kolkata-Delhi sectors.
There will be also a review by SpiceJet authority whether they can resume the service for Tripura again.
However, SpiceJet CMD told Jitendra Chaudhury that the previous routes of operation were very comfortable from Tripura.
