Govt to place ‘controversial’ Citizenship Amendment Bill in Rajya Sabha, internet shutdown in Northeast ‘likely’

AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): A topmost Congress leader in Tripura has said that the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill to be placed in the Rajya Sabha today.
The upset Congress leader, Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya has urged all the oppositions not to “walk out” of the house and to fight back the controversial bill.
In his own media, ‘The Northeast Today’ in morning it was reported that many parts of Northeast are under internet shutdown and also likely to affect Tripura network too.
Whole Northeast is protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Bill, whereas CPI-M has charged the BJP Govt for converting Northeast into a second Kashmir.
