AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has slammed the BJP Govt for deteriorating law and order under BJP rule and attacks on CPI-M Ministers and MP.
Referring consequent attacks upon CPI-M formers Ministers and MPs on February 10 and February 11, Manik Sarkar said, what kind of democracy is this where elected leaders aren’t allowed to meet the common men ?
“I condemn both the attacks. The first attack took place at Belonia whereas Badal Choudhury, MP Shankar Prasad Datta were attacked and on the next day former CPI-M Minister Ratan Bhowmik was attacked. Once again, it has been proven that no law and order is existing in Tripura and the state is undergoing a Jungle-raj”, said Manik Sarkar.
Sarkar further sought rule of law’s establishment at the earliest.
