AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): Whereas pin-drop-silence was maintained during two-days-strike in Tripura called by trade union nationwide, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing in a BMS programme said that the strike was unsuccessful.
Biplab Deb also congratulated BMS member, drivers for making it “possible”.
“You have saved the state from great financial crisis situation”, Biplab Deb told BMS, replied with claps by BMS.
Deb further said, he is happy that all CPI-M trade union members are now towards BMS and maximum have joined BMS and happy to be associated with the BMS.
The strike was according to report 100% successful in Tripura on January 8 and January 9. State on those days also observed BJP's mafia style against strikes forced to open supermarkets like Big Bazar by force.
