‘Citizenship Bill should not be imposed on Northeastern states’ : MP Jiten

AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): Based on the ongoing demands and issues in Northeast and tension going on across Northeastern states, CPI-M MP Jitendra Chaudhury has given a message to the Central Govt that the bill should not be implemented in Northeast.
The MP said, already Northeast states had a huge demographic change earlier but if the problem of migration is imposed here again various problems including unemployment problems to be increased further.
Jitendra Chaudhury also slammed the Modi Govt for stretching this controversial bill juts ahead of Lok Sabha election saying BJP has chosen the issue as political trump card when no other trick is influencing public.
