AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Supreme Court’s eminent lawyer Bikash Bhattacharjee on Sunday while addressing in seminar of “All India Lawyers Union” at Agartala pinched Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his self-advertisement cost saying, whether he has 56 inch chest or more than that but after all no Prime Minister of India earlier had self-propagated like the present one.

Criticizing media role and Modi Govt’s attempt of undemocratic interference in media functioning Bhattacharjee said that corporates’ first successful target are media houses.

“In morning we make public opinion through media, whereas now it’s now under corporate hands. Even the free thinking environment in this way has been snatched”, said Bhattacharjee.

“Even through entertainment programmes also, superstitions, Hindutvabad ideologies etc have been tried to push among new generation so that they can not think independently”, he added.
