AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Hitting BJP Govt both at State and Centre, Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that BJP in Tripura came in power with various fake promises including promise of ‘Missed-call based jobs’.
While interacting with media, Sarkar calling for a successful 2-days-long strike said, “People will decide in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, which Govt is more useful to them and which is not”.
“Major section of unemployed youths regardless towns and villages areas were attracted by BJP’s pre-poll promise of house to house jobs and massive recruitment promises. But after coming in power, BJP Govt has slashed Govt job opportunities with a Govt notification saying unless employees surrender / retires from job, no new post can be filled up, as Tripura has enough numbers of employees already”, said Manik Sarkar.
Manik Sarkar also slammed Tripura Public Service Commission’s puppet role under State Govt by cancelling all ongoing recruitments which were going on since the previous Govt’s time.
“In case of Govt employees also, 7th pay commission was promises, whereas BJP National President Amit Shah in rallies told them (employees) that after result out on March 3rd, from March 4th they can take 7th Pay Commission, but that promised was too not fulfilled”, he said.
“Infact Verma Committee report itself talked about central deprivation to Tripura since 2014”, Sarkar added.
Talking about contractual employees rights, Manik Sarkar said, “We never gave any fake promise like BJP. We couldn’t regularize them due to fund crisis but we kept on giving the highest benefits of their service but they are now heavily deprive of their rights”.
