KAMALPUR(TIWN), Jan 3 (TIWN): A tribal youth has been shot by bullet and is under treatment which has taken the forest surveillance, law and order under scanner in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.

According to the information of the local Salema police station, this dawn one tribal youth identified as Khaksai Debbarma has been shot by a bullet from his brother Satyaranjan Debbarma's country made gun during hunting into the forest of local forest of Mayangtaluk area. The incident has taken place at the dawn around 4 to 4-30 am. Injured Khaksai has been transferred to district hospital and then to Agartala Medical College and Hospital(AGMC).

However, this incident has taken the forest surveillance and law and order under scanner. Because after the lofty promises of Biplab's Jumla regime, the forest resources and law and order has been deteriorating day by day. And the existence of guns with commoners in bordering subdivision is by no means a happy state.

However, police has been probing into the matter.
