AGARTALA, September 24 (TIWN): Student Federation of India (SFI), Tribal Student Union (TSU) organized a victory rally after their win in the college elections of the state at MBB College and BBMC here today.

"We were very sure that we will win the college elections because we work for the benefit of the students of the state and we will continue this in the upcoming year" said G.S. of BBMC Shankar Sarkar. We are trying to make the college campuses secular, he added.

He further said that education may play an important role in bringing tangible benefits by developing the skills of the people. It may expand livelihood opportunities and increase earning potential and thus help in tackling the problem of poverty at large. The major role that education has been able to play is with regard to knowledge inculcation and skill-improvement of the persons, he mentioned.
