AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) has geared up to maintain the cleanliness in Agartala City throughout Durga Puja season and from the next day of Mahalaya, Tuesday city to be cleaned three times per day.

AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha said that from today workers will clean the city for two times, whereas since Mahalaya time the city will be cleaned for three times in shift.

The Mayor also urged the capital city residents to maintain the cleanliness of the town and to cooperate with AMC. 

"For any problems AMC will also be ready to help the locals and in coordination among locals and AMC the cleanliness will be possible. Without the citizens' help, it's impossible to maintain the cleanliness. So, we urge all to throw garbage in dustbins and to use the vehicles of AMC", Sinha added.
